The sun was shining, there was no wind (not that it mattered being in the pine forest!) and 2,500 people turned up to run and walk their little hearts out.
Nestled amongst the pine trees, often with a soft bed of pine needles to run on, and with gentle undulations the length of the course, this is a unique race that you really have to try next year.
And word is they always attract amazing weather. So book your weekend at Waitarere Beach, Levin, for next April!
