TempoFit FAQs

Here are some common questions we get about the 6-week TempoFit running boot camps:

I’m new to running, will I fit in?

Absolutely. Workouts are tailored to suit the individual and we have people of many different levels who will be able to keep you company throughout the sessions. Our only requirement is that you can run 5k non-stop. If you’re not at this level yet, email us about getting a personalised running plan.

Is it just for runners or can sports people do this for off-season or pre-season training?

Again, yes. A TempoFit season will help develop your running technique and speed and also keep those fitness levels up during the off-season. If you can run 5k non-stop, you will feel at home at TempoFit.

I’m injury prone, will speed training aggravate this?

The TempoFit programme is designed to suit the individual, so you can control how hard you go in each workout. We also spread different types of workouts across the week to lighten the fatigue levels on your muscles: Mondays are about conditioning and technique (with some optional faster running), whereas Thursdays are more about running fast. Our weekend informal sessions are typically long, easy-paced runs. You’ll find the technique and conditioning sessions on Mondays perfect for injury prevention.

I can’t run fast, is TempoFit for me?

TempoFit is designed to provide a gradual increase in workout intensity. Your muscles will take several weeks to adapt but by the end of the six weeks you should be feeling like your running has discovered a few extra gears.

I have a voucher, how do I redeem it?

If your voucher has a discount code on it, include it in your registration. Otherwise bring your voucher along with you to your first session.

It’s raining, is TempoFit running?

Yes. Always.

I can’t make every session, can I still do TempoFit?

Yes. Do as few or as many as you like. And let us know if there is a time and day of the week that you think we should add another session to the TempoFit schedule.
